My name is Curb Ivanic and I'm a runner as well as a certified strength and conditioning coach and performance enhancement specialist. I took up running later in life and wasn't born with champion genetics.
But I studied all I could about running including training programs, preparing for races, improving running technique, sports nutrition and running injuries. I even went so far as to get a graduate degree in Exercise Science specializing in performance enhancement and injury prevention.
And I applied what I had learned. I've raced distances from 5km to 67km and have placed in the top 15 in a couple of 50km ultramarathons.

Over the last 10 years I've trained and assessed over 400 runners and triathletes. I've tried different training programs and approaches to figure out what works and what doesn't to help runners run better and stay injury free.
I'm proud of my accomplishments -- but I'm not trying to brag. I just want to emphasize that I'm passionate about what I do and I've done the homework to back me up.
One of the biggest mistakes runners make is not training the body properly to handle the stresses of running. They neglect the benefits a proper strength training can provide.
